Genetic Legacy Via Three Articles of Clothing

The first (or maybe the second) photo I ever saw of my biological mother featured her wearing a t-shirt that proclaimed, "I Do All My Own Stunts." 

I texted the photo to my friend Paul, who texted back: "NO DNA TEST REQUIRED."

I wouldn't get to know my bio mom for very long in the scheme of things, but I did have an opportunity to exchange emails with her for a while and meet her in person. She gave me a few gifts, one of which was this pair of socks:
